If a barking animal is creating a disturbance in your neighborhood, call the Azusa Police Department non-emergency line at (626) 812-3200 and speak with a dispatcher. If an officer responds to the animal’s residence, the officer may attempt to gain compliance through a courtesy warning, issue a citation for violation of Azusa Municipal Code section 46-410(6), or notify the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control for possible impound.

This municipal section states that no person may keep, maintain, or permit any dog, animal, or fowl that disturbs the peace or comfort of neighboring residents, or interferes with another person’s reasonable and comfortable enjoyment of life and property.
