Connecting with Our Community in Real Time
The Azusa Police Department’s Social Media Team uses leading digital platforms to share timely updates, answer public questions, and strengthen community relationships. Whether it’s through a safety alert, a neighborhood event post, or a missing person notice, we use technology to keep Azusa informed and engaged.
More Than Just Social Media
Our Social Media Team manages much more than online posts. The team is responsible for the design and maintenance of the department’s website, writing content for blogs and updates, producing community videos, photographing public events, and monitoring incoming tips through anonymous features.
They also review analytics to ensure content is relevant, informative, and responsive to the community’s needs. From creating crime alerts to publishing emergency messages, every communication is crafted with purpose—to keep Azusa safe and connected.

What Gets Published
The Social Media Team shares a wide range of timely information with the public. This includes crime prevention tips, traffic updates, community safety alerts, missing person bulletins, and announcements for local events or initiatives. By providing transparent, real-time information, we help residents stay informed and involved.
Modern Policing with a Community Mission
The Azusa Police Department consists of 55 sworn police officers and 28 civilian professionals, working together to provide 24/7 public safety services throughout the city. Officers are assigned to essential units such as Patrol, Traffic, and the Detective Bureau, and many also take on specialized responsibilities that support public outreach, training, and advanced response. Our department includes officers with expertise in areas such as gang intervention, field training, school resource programs, crisis response, emergency management, and digital communications. Civilian personnel support operations through records management, dispatch, administration, and community coordination. As Azusa grows, our department continues to evolve—investing in professional development, advanced technology, and neighborhood-based policing strategies that reflect the needs and values of our residents.
